You know this game, do you?
Maybe in your country it looks a bit different, but I think it has the same rules in every country.
I have just learned in a course called Create expressive Video Games that there are four elements of play like actions, rules, goals and objects.
Actions of Ludo are rolling the dice, kicking out one of the game figures or and set playing pieces.
Rules are for example, if you roll a six you can put one of your pieces into the game or if you place your piece on a field occupied by another player's piece you can throw this one out.
The Goal ist to reach the four home fields with you four pieces. If you manage this first you have won the game. But the other players continue playing until only one player is left to have still pieces to get to the home fields.
Objects of the game are the dice, the board and the pieces.
I may change one of the rules, for example that you, when you are throwing out a figure, you are allowed to put one of your pieces out into the game. This means you do not have to roll a six for this.
The game has changed. I presume it has become faster. Ludo games can last long. I like this new rule. Still, the chances are not so balanced any more, which might lead to frustration, too.
I wish I had some board gamers here now to try out this new rule!
